For this week's study of Hitler and the Holocaust, Mrs. Ragone and Mrs. Bennett's classes will be taking a closer look at Hitler's regime in Nazi Germany and Europe with a viewing and discussion of the film, Valkyrie. Based on actual events, Valkyrie shows how a squad of senior German officials plot to assassinate Hitler before Germany's defeat in WWII. Tom Cruise, who plays Colonel Clause von Stauffenberg, masterminds the plot to eliminate Hitler, called Operation Valkyrie. In addition, Stauffenberg and his men plan to take control of Berlin after the Fuhrer is assassinated. Will they succeed? Stay tuned to find out!!
